Can I sync multiple company files?
Connex can sync multiple files
Can this be done?
Connex can sync one company file per Connex account. It is possible to have multiple Connex logins. Additional license fees and a guided implementation will apply. Please contact us for next steps.
What is a scenario when I need multiple company files?
You have a QuickBooks company in the U.S. and another one in Canada. Each file has different tax mappings and a chart of accounts. Usually, there is one selling channel and orders are separated by a field on the order. This includes currency or an order tag. We will use Shopify in this example. Here are the steps:
- Contact Connex sales and obtain an additional Connex login.
- Using the new account, pair a selling channel.
- Pair your accounting system for the Canada file.
- Go through the set-up wizard.
Next, let's set up a rule to exclude orders by currency code:
- In Connex, go to rules engine.
- Click add new rule.
- Scroll down and select without order number, then click next.
- Enter exclude orders by currency code as the title.
- As action, choose do not import order to QuickBooks.
- In conditions, enter currency code, is not CAD. This will exclude all non Canadian orders from reaching this account.
- Leave value to map blank.
- For the other account with the USD file, perform the same steps. In the rule conditions, say is not USD.
If you want to exclude sales for B2B versus B2C, tag is a popular option. Try tag, does not contain, B2B.
