      How do I migrate QuickBooks Enterprise to QuickBooks Online?

      QuickBooks has a migration tool as part of QuickBooks Online. Here is an excerpt from QuickBooks Online:

      Steps to Migrate QuickBooks Enterprise to QBO

      Step 1: Sign up for QuickBooks Online

      If you haven’t already, create a QBO account at https://quickbooks.intuit.com.

      Step 2: Open the company file in QuickBooks Enterprise

      Use QuickBooks Desktop to open the company file you want to migrate.

      Step 3: Use the Export Tool

      1. Press Ctrl + 1 to open the Product Information window.

      2. Press Ctrl + B + Q and then click OK.

      3. A new window will pop up prompting you to sign in to QuickBooks Online.

      4. Sign in and choose the company you want to import the data into.

      5. Follow the on-screen steps to start the export.

        🔁 Timeframe: Depending on file size, migration can take a few minutes to several hours.

      You may need to reassess feature needs or consider QuickBooks Online Advanced, which has more features than Simple Start/Plus.

      How do I migrate Connex?

      Your settings from QuickBooks Enterprise will remain intact. You need to pair QuickBooks Online and adjust your chart of accounts. Follow these steps:

      1. For each connection, click settings and click return to install wizard.
      2. Click the QuickBooks Online tab.
      3. If this is your second connection  and you already paired QuickBooks, skip this step. Otherwise, Click the connect to QuickBooks button.
      4. Pair QuickBooks.
      5. Click next.
      6. Go through the set-up wizard and complete the chart of accounts. Most likely, your accounts in QuickBooks Enterprise and QuickBooks Online are different. As your transaction mode, select sales receipts or invoices payments if paid.
      7. Click submit to finish the wizard.
