How do I map custom fields from Shopify to QuickBooks?
How to map two fields to QuickBooks.
How does it work?
In this example, the order has a PO# in Shopify, In QuickBooks, the field is P.O.
How do I add the rule?
Here are the steps:
- Login to Connex.
- On the left, click rules.
- Click add.
- Choose map field, regardless of condition
- Click next.
- As the action, choose Map PO Number.
- Click Add Field to Check: PO Number Comparison: Map All Conjunction: OR and leave blank
- Click Submit/Save.
How do I map a Shopify custom field to a date field in QuickBooks?
Ensure the field has a valid date
If the field ship_date exists without a value, then ship date will fail to sync to QuickBooks. If ship_date exists with an invalid date, like ABC123, then the sale would fail to sync.
How do I write the rule?
Here are the steps:
- Go to orders > order previewer.
- Choose Shopify and enter an order.
- Click custom fields and note the field name:
- Go to the rules engine.
- Click add.
- Enter QuickBooks ship date in the rule title.
- As the action, choose map order ship date.
- In the rule, enter these values: order custom field, 10 as the comparison, and ship_date as the field name.
- Leave the last field blank:
- Click submit to save the rule.
Here is the end result in QuickBooks:
