How do I remove tax on an order?
How to remove tax remitted by marketplaces
In almost all online marketplaces like Amazon or Facebook, the user pays tax. Amazon and Facebook remit the tax. If you have Shopify and you import Facebooks orders into it, then the sales will have tax. In this example, we will remove tax on Facebooks orders imported into Shopify. We only want tax in Florida.
Here are the steps:
- Login to Connex.
- Go to rules engine.
- On the bottom, choose write rule without order number.
- In the title, enter remove tax.
- As the action, enter remove tax.
- In the conditions, enter these values: shipping state, is not, FL.
- Leave the last field blank and click submit.
