Getting Started with Rules: How do I create a rule without a condition?

How to map one field to another without a condition

Introduction

In previous guides, we discussed writing a rule with a condition. If the product SKU from Amazon is ABC, then map to 123 in QuickBooks. In some cases, you can always map one field to the other. We call this feature rules without condition. There are two options. The first is mapping a QuickBooks field to a custom field. The second is mapping two custom fields.

How do I map a custom field and a QuickBooks standard field?

A standard field is one included in QuickBooks without adding them. QuickBooks standard fields include these values: PO number, order number, sales rep

  1. Go to the rules engine.
  2. Click add rule.
  3. Choose without condition.
  4. Choose a selling channel.
  5. Choose map custom field to a QuickBooks standard field.
  6. Enter a title, CustomField1 and PO Number in the three fields:
  7. Click submit.

How do I map two custom fields?

Here are the steps:

  1. Go to the rules engine.
  2. Click add rule.
  3. Choose without condition.
  4. Choose map custom field to a custom field.
